White Garments
This was a simple dream but profound. Here it is:
I was standing in church and there were so many in the church dressed in white, but their white clothing had dirt flung all over them. I couldn’t believe that I walked into the church to see so many people’s clothes dirty. It made my heart sad to see this, so I cried. Then filled with the Holy Spirit, I threw my fist to the ground and yelled out in desperation & love, “You are supposed to be preparing for Christ’s return!! He is coming soon, and His bride who is dressed in white is soiled!” This is a word from the Lord.
The dream represents a cry from the heart of Jesus, and we need to listen. It speaks for itself on many levels, but I do want to urge you who are a believer; If you are not living a holy and righteous life before God, which you are called to do so according to the Bible, then this is your time and moment to repent. You must turn away from your sins and turn back to Jesus. If He has been pressing you and convicting you about a sin issue in your life, then know it is because of His immense love for you that He wants you to turn it over to Him. It is for your good. Jesus paid the ultimate price on the cross, and it was finished for your sake. He wants to clothe you in white. Jesus can free you and wants to. I encourage you to run to Him, pray to Him, and repent. Be ready for His return; it is coming.
** Listed below are some verses that come to my mind as a bride in Christ – dressed in white:
““Write this letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars: “I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief. “Yet there are some in the church in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes with evil. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine. “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.” Revelation 3:1-6 NLT
“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.” Galatians 5:16-26
“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2
